Default Sight Fishing Trout and Almost Falling into my own hole

Hey everyone I tried sight fishing for the first time. I ended up picking a lake that seemed to be a little too murky so that was a bummer. I also Almost fell into the hole and I ended up doing the splits over a bathtub sized hole. Lucky I had my fishing buddy close by to save me.

You like living life on the edge. Don't let it catch up with you.

Living on the edge to me is more like sky diving and bungee jumping. Maybe swimming with sharks haha

Wow, the quality of the fish significantly declined since the last one there. I wonder if youtube had anything to do with that.....

You got it. It's really too bad.
I suppose these quiet places just mean more to those of us who've enjoyed them for many decades...

Enjoyed decades of stocked fish supported by licenses from EVERYONE who buys a Sportfishing License.

So many tears over these stockers getting caught.

Think about it this way.

When one lake becomes popular for anglers, other lakes see less pressure.

Try exploring somewhere new.

I understand your perspective, and yes, they are just stocked trout...but the YouTube crowd has really taken the work out of learning/exploring. These less pressured lakes you speak of...they no longer exist...in Alberta anyway. Thanks to social media.
I know, I know...I'm just old and cranky....

You are not alone. Drone fly overs make it really obvious. But hey, that is where things are headed with technology. We can only hold onto the old ways for so long....change is inevitable...crappy or not.

I've fished two new lakes I've never been to so far this year in Alberta.

Both times there was 1 - 2 other groups.

They exist.
