Default Strikemaster ice auger extension

So I have a brand new Strikemaster 40v 10” ice auger. I’m in the Marigot extra laxer sharp blades (spares) and an extension.
I can’t seem to find an extension less than 12 inch. I’m looking for a 6-8 inch maximum. Does anyone know where one can be found?

According to their site, they only make 12" or 20". I'm curious why you are adamant on a 6-8"? I mean you could take a 12" or 20" and get it cut down, re-welded and then powder-coated again. But you're going to have a lot of money into that extension over 4".

12 inch extension is way more than i need. It also make the auger to high when you start to drill

I agree with Splake. In my other augers that have an extension I’ve only required 2-3 inches over the normal length. A 6 inch extension would be a nice option...if they made one

Well if 12” is the smallest then drill the hole, pull out and put on extension to finish the job.
I got close to needing an extension but not yet to date....this thread now got me thinking of just buying one and keeping it in the truck.

I bought a 12" extension for my Jiffy strictly for Lake Winnipeg trips. I have never needed it in AB.

Jiffy makes a 12 inch extension that also reduces to 6 inch. I don’t know if it will fit Strikemaster probably not.
But why couldn’t Strikemaster (Rapala) do that.
I tried emailing them but get a response from a person that I’m sure doesn’t ice fish or care.

It’s not often that I need the extension but have in the past Cold Lake, Pearce Lake. And usually only need 2-3 more inches.
