Just got my confirmation for my pre-order and my place in line for the new V4. Now...we wait. I suspect December or January at the earliest. But, I'm pleased I am number 23 in line for the new unit!

Just curious what new toy the V4 is? BTW that is quite the reloading room you have, I am a bit jealous. Thanks...

Popped 100 45-70 and 80 30-30 cases in the vibrator to run for a couple hours. Gonna load up a bunch of rounds for the season. I'm well ahead on rounds for my other calibers...looking forward to archery opener tomorrow.

That's a new version of a very accurate and fast powder thrower/trickler. The V3 has been out a while now. (Google AutoTrickler.) But the V4 is a redesign to upgrade a few areas where the V3 could be better.

BTW, thanks for the compliment.

Very interesting, thank you!

When do you get one of these? Not my cup of tea, I will stick to my old school techniques & budget, lol...

Repaired my brothers Howa .270 (feeding issues). Now to free float the barrel and reinstall the original wood stock. Sight in and move scope to his preferred eye relief. May be his last hunt so got to do it right.

Repaired the scope power adjustment control, so now it goes from 3-9power just not stuck on 4X anymore LOL. Cleaned the barrel went from 4" groups to 1.5". Big shout out to Jason B at the Outdoorsman here in the Hat for introduced me to a new copper removal solvent, made right here in Canada ( 1st choice bore cleaner ) works as well or better then the others and 2 bucks+ cheaper.

Prepped another bunch of brass. 50 pcs 22-250, 100 pcs 223, and 60 pcs 7mm-08.
Got another 600 to go, then some serious loading and multiple trips to the range.

New counter top for the powder measuring table. It’s Corian, and it much better then the particle board that the cabinet top is made of.

It is heavier and flat. Nice and very flat. And now I have room for the V4 A/T next to the V3.

Testing out the new 21st Century expander mandrel dies. I really like these compared to my old Sinclair one.

Took some hand loading gear to the range yesterday and worked up some loads for a friend's M70 I sold him using some Alberta Wildcat HPFB 150's that are super accurate for slower twist 308's

Yesterday I fired some groups from my 3006, the first shot from a cold barrel was about 2 1/2" inches out of the group in the 1:30 position. I remembered I had freefloated the barrel, but it was left slightly touching in the 7:30 position no real pressure. Today I removed some more material from the stock so it would be completely freefloating. I will shoot it again, and see how the first shot from a cold barrel fits in with the rest of the group.

Just an observation on the AutoTrickler and FX 120i. Over the last several weeks I have had trouble with it “drifting”. I realize with these scales that it is not the correct term, but it drifts. I run an Area 419 platen and powder cup and today I stood and watched it gain two tenths of a grain in a minute. Frustrated I got out the OEM platen and OEM AutoTrickler cup and the problem went away immediately. Anyway, just an FYI in case someone has a similar issue.

I picked this up too; haven’t used it yet. Watching the instruction video it suggested having the die loose. Did you use it that way? Or die tight to the press body? I feel like if I left the die loose it would induce runout?

I use a Forster Co-Ax. By design, dies always sit loose in that type of press. In theory, a floating die should induce less runout.

I kept trying to tell myself to not get one but the reasons keep piling up lol. I should have connected the dots with the lock rings you were using lol.

Going to try some 80gr TTSX in my .25-06. Loaded up 10 with H4831SC and 10 with IMR 4350.

Need to move a few scopes around between rifles, then get down to the range and test it out. BR league is done for the year, so it's time to tinker with hunting rifles.

Brass prep all week long. Just getting around to finishing the last 2 calibers. Tonight it was the 6.5x47L.

All seated to only a .0005” variance.

Today I fired the rifle again, all 3 shots holding in 1" group, the second group was the same.

Loaded 24 rounds of 145gr LRX for my 7mm RM. I am using H4831sc. It worked good on my 120gr TTSX load, hope it works good on the LRX.
