Default Wash and Wax in tumbler

Hey everyone.

I have been using a stainless pin tumbler with the classic dawn dish soap and Lemishine. Been reading that people are using an armor all wash and wax instead. Would there be any negative effects of having this thin coat of wax on the brass?

People with experience, how much are you using?

What would be the purpose of this?

I have heard it prevents tarnish after brass sits for a period of time.

I tried it and it works pretty good
But the lemishine is brighter
Ive added more rinsing cycles after im done and it seems to cut down the tarnishing a lot

I’ve read the lemishine can turn some brass reddish/pinkish. Something to do with bringing some of the copper to the surface. Any chance the wax is for that? The chemistry of it makes me think no.
Can’t recall if it was from leaving the brass in the lemishine too long or using too much of it but seem to recall it was one of the two.
What’s the consensus here on how much lemishine and soap?
How long to tumble?
Deprime first or after?

I deprime mine first with a depriming tool
Give it a good cleaning
Then anneal and size
Back in again to get rid of the lube
Clean the necks and then add powder and bullets

Do you clean and anneal after every firing?
I’ve been depriming before cleaning, anneal after about 6 firings, and have not yet cleaned after sizing. Might need to consider that step. I typically just wipe them down

I have been using wash and wax in mine, I use turtle wax but I don’t think it matters. I have done both precision rifle cases and pistol brass and haven’t had any issues with either. They do stay shiny much longer than before I switched. I don’t think the wax portion is any different than the additives you can buy for dry media tumblers.
