No sweat!
BTW, the 625-8 ( 45ACP wheel gun) and the Super match have since been sold, and replaced/will be replaced by others - my gun room is somewhat of a living thing,
with a continual turnover of stuff!

Nope, she doesn't mind so much, it'as criiters on the wall that she cannot stand!
I was even allowed to BUILD a gun room when we moved into the new place!
The walk-in closet is the vault, counters are built (40) to accomadate loading, drawers are made to the height that will accomadate die boxes, oversized ones in the bottom, the works!
NOT big enough, though!
I used reclaimed t&G knotty pine for the walls and replaned it just enough so every board was of like thickness, but did not take the stain tight out to add colour.
Floor is western maple laminate to resist dropped stuff and spills, and the counter is Western fir laminate for contrast and durability.
The counter , BTW, was something we talked about at work for a top that would be very tough, so i though I would try it - works grand!
This room may look nice, but it PALES when compared to some of the trohpy rooms I have seen on this site!

Default 300 rum

This gun was just finished a few weeks ago. I have been working on some loads for it and think 185 vlds with 94 grains of RL25 is going to work. It is shooting 2 inch 3 shoot groups at 500 and even a 2 1/4 inch group at 675 with that load. That load in that barrel is getting me 3400fps. I thought that was fast so checked it with another chronograph and it said about the same, still think that"s a little high.
Its a 700 action that was blue printed, a jewel trigger, the bolt was cleaned up, 28" bull Ted Gailard barrel and Holland break . I put a Mark 4 scope 6.5-20 x50 on a 20 min rail. All I can say is so far so good with this gun. A.C. Duglas out of Saskatoon did a great job putting this gun together for me.

Well, there are quite few more there than can actually be seen, and then there is the "other " locker!!
I really like the room, though, it is very comfy to work in there .
lately however, the loading spot has been monopolized by Zippo 45/70 and
his ( HIS??!!) Dillon 550B for loading those silly little 38 supercomp bullets that he flings outta his STI Trubore!
Me and my shotgun loaders and long range cartridges have been religated to the garage!

That's not the first rig I seen out of the A.C. Douglas stable that is a show stopper, they do great work!

Savage Model 12 VLP in .204 Ruger. Leopold VX-II 6-18x40

Kimber Classic .22 LR Leopold VX-II 3-9x32 EFR

1911 Colt 45 ACP WWII manufactured, Vietnam reissue

I have a couple more but no photos, its not a real large collection like some others here have, hopefully keep adding as I can afford to do so.

Don't get new stuff!
Look around and ask for old boards that people are taking out of their rec rooms, etc., like I did, then make sure ALL the nails are out and replane it, the results are STUNNING!!

That way, the wall is dead-on smooth as far as thickness of the boards go, and with a clear diamond finish, the different colours really show up!
My big advantage is that Ft.Mac is full of trailers and rec rooms that people put that stuff into, then got tired of it!!

My kid goes GAGA over 1911's, he'll like yours!
his pride and joy is a 1911 made in 1919, super patina and runs ammo better than most NEW ones!
All serial numbers match on it - it even has two "talley marks" on the trigger guard!!

Here are some pics of some toys I enjoy, I even posted a pic of me with my savage the day it arrived, I'm not worried someone using this site is going to locate me and break in to steal my arms.

The only one I have (at the moment) is this one.

I DO have a couple of nice brownings( can't have too many Browning highwalls!)
On with a factory octagon barrel in '06, and one with a gain twist smith barrel in 6.5WSSM ( a B78)
BTW, the ruger has a Kipplinger single set trigger ( best there is) and a badger BP barrel in 45/70, along with custom made receiver sights and a Morgan recoil pad.

Uh, you may want to think TWICE about that one, unless we have enough people to "form square" - single shots, although they would be fine for long range sniping don't do too well in a head to head fire fight!

Browning A bolt in .30-06 which I plan on replacing with some 7mm08 of the sort. It has a Leupold VXIII 1.75-6x32 mounted on Leupold bases and rings.

The bipod is just for show as the stand hunting I currently do doesn't require it

Uh, wow. If the world ends, I'm coming to live with you. I imagine we could play out our own version of Fallout with all that ordnance -- so long as the bad guys rush us slowly enough for single-shot action, that is...

I think I spotted an unsporterised Lee-Enfield in there, I think. Congrats on leaving it old-skool! That's the first rifle I ever actually knew anything about. I guess I'm just far too Canadian that way...

Nice on the use of reclaimed wood, by the by.
