Default Question

Just a quick question to you gun law specialist. My friend got a call from another friend who was moving and she said that she had 2 guns there that had belonged to her brother in law way back and he is living in the states now and doesn't want them, and said he could have them. Well my question is he only have a possesion license and they are not registered so could he just call and register them or will he be hasseled. Maybe he could say he forgot he had them in his basement or something... Just wondering if any one could help us?????:\ :eek

Likely he could call, claiming that they belong to him and that he was holding out. Plead clemency and register them.

Save your breath. The poss. lis. is now obsolete. Tell your friend to put the guns in a safe place and apply for a PAL.Once he has the PAL he can put them through the system and have them registered. The only other thing would be to have a friend register them online for free and then transfer them when buddy gets his PAL. Either way it will likely cost $25 per gun in the end.-----Cowboy

I’ll go with winged1. My POL and his POL and anybody’s POL is good till we die. If someone wanted to give me an unregistered gun I would plead it was always mine and register it. ACCEPTING ANY DONATIONS

And if you don't want them, I'll take them.
