I will be giving my bush gun some improvements during the off season mostly for durability and personal comfort. I am a little on the rough side
I am thinking of getting it creokoted to help protect it from the weather. From your experience is it worthwhile or is more a pretty thing?
Do you have recommendations on who to use for this service? Edmonton area would be preferred but if it’s quality work/service I would consider anywhere in Alberta

I have it on a couple of guns. My lever action got very minor rust on it from one day in bad weather. Got it done and it's very weather resistant now. Looks really good to.
I also got my duck gun done and don't have to worry about weather at all either.
If it's stainless I don't see the need to do it, unless you want to get rid of the shine. Blued I would get it done if you hunt rain or snow.

Do you have a pic of your lever?
My project is my Marlin 30-30 new synthetic stock and big lever already in the mail
I got it done at Black box customs in Calgary. They were doing a 50% off 2 colors once a year. They would post a few colors on CGN for a vote then offer the 2 most popular ones.
