My part is on the way, from The Reel Doctor.
He couldn't come up with a new one but he found me a good used one and that is all I need.
When I told him what my motor was doing he said he was familiar with that problem. He said it's caused by a faulty capacitor.
I have no doubt that is correct.
A real good guy to deal with. I highly recommend him to anyone having issues with a Minn Kota motor.

PS, he also thinks Minn Kota would not honor the warranty because of the handle fix. And he also thinks shipping it in for warranty work would cost more then the repair part- shipped.
I believe he is right on all counts.
