Default Alliant Unique or Hodgon Titegroup?

For those that reload calibers 9mm, 38 special, 357 and 45acp.....
I'm interested on what pistol powder is your preference. I'm about to buy a powder in bulk (8lb) and was looking for pros and cons if any.
Thanks

I always used Unique fir the 45 because I had lots of it for the shotguns and cast rifle shooting.

I also like unique powder for reduced rifle loads.
In a few Google searches I read that it doesn't meter well in Dillon power measures. I hope it was only in an odd set up. I know titegroup meters very well and I'm starting to lean towards it for that reason.

When I was shooting IPSC I liked Titegroup because I could use it in 9, 40 and 45 and it's readily available.

I also use titegroup for 9, 40 and 45.
I like HS6 a little better for 40 major loads.

It does meter very well which is important when such a little difference in weight makes a big difference in velocity. To give you an idea, this is what I get. YMMV

For titegroup Campro 124 grain FCP RN / Shadow 2:
3.8 grains = 1006 FPS = 125 PF
4.0 grains = 1120 FPS = 139 PF
4.2 grains = 1197 FPS = 148 PF

For titegroup Campro 180 grain FCP RN / STI Edge:
4.2 grains = 847 FPS = 152 PF
4.6 grains = 940 FPS = 169 PF
4.9 grains = 1006 FPS = 181 PF

Default Just my preference.

I use tite group for 38 and 357 loads and HS-6 for my 9mm.
Both meter nice and are fairly clean.

thats funny, i am going with titegroup in 45auto (when my rpal gets here) because it is what i use in cast rifle loads! 4.5gr titegroup under a 125gr flat nose in my 3030 sure scared the hell out of the gophers last time i went out!

Unique has been my go to cast rifle and pistol bullet and reduced load powder for close to 45 years, although I haveessrf around with others I saw no need to change .
