A bio friend of mine calls 440 (and most similar mtn zones) a low productivity unit. I’ve been told that moose density is in the neighborhood of 0.15 moose per square km, if you exclude areas above tree line.
So finding a moose is gonna be the crux for a 440 mtn-style hunt.
Parkland zones can have 5-10x the moose density, but don’t offer the same experience.
