Yes Brian and anyone interested.....

There is a large graveled pad behind the Last West Hall to park your 5th wheel or tow behind trailer. There is also nicely grassed and shaded areas to pitch a tent as well.

This is a very nice quiet (until we get there) location - tucked away from the hustle and bustle of life!

It is just off a high grade gravel road Sec 761 - which is a very short drive (2 min or 1.5 miles) off Highway 53

Glad you can make it Peter - drag up some of those South Country hombres with you!

New addition to Saturday- after a little persuading about how popular it is -

Trap Swap - will be held right after dinner in the hall Parking Lot! Sell; Trade or give away to the young trappers - traps ; equipment; and other surplus gear you have been tripping on for the last 12 years or so! CG says it is lots of fun - the jury is on it

Default Trade Show Vendors wanted

I have volunteered to put together a respectful trade show at the July 24 West Central Trappers Weekend!

To that end, we have these fine companies with booths:

Lights Out Snaring
Dam Beaver
Canadian Coyote Company
Reubens Furs

We have others thinking about it, but if you know any vendors that may want to join in, please get them to give me a call at 780-514-0494

1st Booth (4 long tables in horseshoe shape) is $100, If you take a 2nd booth we will discount the 2nd one to $75

Appears to be a good turn out shaping up!

Sounds like a good time, even sounds like a big event shaping up. I sure hope Shandro and Hinshaw dont send there thugs over. But probly be okay cuz probly they just put Gary in jail!!!

I will be there. Have to figure out how to get both a holiday trailer and a load of goodies up there.

To all reading this, do place your order with your preferred dealer in advance and we'll all have exactly what you want, very helpful.

But we'll still bring more, to see what we can tempt you with!

Default ATA Youth Camp Donations planned!

The West Central Trappers (ATA) is committed to Youth trapping related education. The hugely successful ATA Youth Camps are fully booked again with 10-14 year old's learning survival skills, emergency response and basic trapping skills. With this in mind, the West Central directors have unanimously agreed that 15% of the net profits made at the upcoming July 24th weekend event will go to supporting the Youth Camp Fund!

We also recognize that ATA members from far and wide are attending the event.. and this is our way to show gratitude for attending members and the great things the ATA does with our youth.

Cheers GG

It sounds like one of our favorite Peace River trappers will be doing a Lynx demo in the early afternoon now. Bring it on....

That makes it a full 5 Trapping Demos for the 24th! Thanks in advance to the 5 trappers who are sharing their tips and tricks from the line...

Special thanks to Northern Trapper for the Lynx intel.

Default Trade Show update

Another addition to the trappers supply part of our mini trade show just confirmed today. Battle River Management (Wade M) will be joining us. He has asked that Trappers bring their own manufactured snares to his booth. He will do a quick analysis on the design, and offer solutions. In addition he will be showcasing his BRM Wolf/Coyote snare at the tradeshow. There will be a event draw for a couple hundred dollars of the BRM snares for visitors to the booth. He asked me to relay this to you all - as he doesn't own a computer.

We have one more booth left - if you are a vendor interested is selling at the event. Guns, soaps, traps or tents.... ha whatever you think the crowd will be interested in... give me a PM

Booth (4 tables) is only $100

One of the vendors, Stettler Source for Sports has offered up a .22 with scope and a cash donation. Thank you very much!

Another vendor, Lights Out Snaring has offered up a 2nd BBQ to help cook those awesome Rib and Strip Loin steaks for us too. Thanks Cory!

Reuben is giving us an excellent deal on dressed squirrel and ermine pelts for the kids squirrel snaring event. Thanks Reuben! We will have about 25 to give out to the kids that enter.

Some tables (mainly trap supply) will be set up outside the hall, with the remainder inside the hall. Vendors choice.

Great weekend shaping up. All outdoor enthusiasts welcome. Lots of great venders signed up from guns to tanned fur, traps and snares.

Excited about the trap swap lined up for after supper for those who are looking for deals. Circle the wagons and open the tailgates Bring out your inventory of extras or just those old traps your not using. Someone is always looking for the hiding gems.

Look forward to seeing you at the event.

Excitement building fo this year’s picnic. Lots of people interested in the horse shoe tournament and silent auction. Stettler’s Source sporting goods came through in a big way again this year with a Savage 22 and scope for our raffle. This is the gathering that you don’t want to miss.

Default Lawn Chairs

We are planning on having some tables outside and inside for visiting, lunch and dinner. We are not allowed to take chairs out of the hall though, so please have lawn chairs if you plan on sitting out in the fresh air.

Trailers starting coming in last night, expect they will roll in all day today (Friday) we will do our best to find a spot for everyone. Please check with an organizer before setting up camp. If you have a truck camper, shorter (under 24' holiday trailer park along east fence (next to crop)

Please stay off grass with campers. There is grassed areas saved for tenters.

See you there! Weather looks to be onside Friday / Saturday
