Default Coyote Contest.

Ok i know earlier in the year i was gunna start a coyote contest but lots of you guys said to have it later in the year when the pelts get better and correct me if im wrong but isnt that in Sept sometime??? But anyways i just want to get an idea of how many people might join and as for prizes im thinkin an AO hat and t-shirt for the winner. I was also wondering if you would be interested in teams or just keep it as singles? So thanks for any input and hopefully we can get one started.

im interested but i would suggest that you do it after november when other hunting is mostly finished and teams would prolly be the best option. i tried to organize one last winter but had to call it off as there was little interest but if u have any questions feel free to PM me

im wondering if the 'competetion' sends the right harmonics to the antis.

craftier names like 'upland gamebird predator management strategy' or 'small game predator advisory provinicial group study', or better yet..
'fur quality and general health in wild canines survey'
either way...ill plug a few if'n its in the name of research

it would most deffinetly be in the name of research, researching the best price for a yote pelt lol, it could also be a yote derby, anyway im in as long as its after deer season

Excellent stuff Roger....not quite as comical as being 'ignored' by the ex-wife, but funny nontheless!

Lethal, wait 'til December. One taken with a bow shoud be worth 20 by rifle! It'll be a good excuse to get out post season and maybe help some landowners out.

BTW, we can all just throw the towel in right now and hand the title over to Smelly Coyote.....er...Stinky Coyote! Sorry B., can't help myself sometimes!

i would join. any time in nov. or later is fine, but apparently a good time to call is in oct. cause all the young ones are running around and aren't to sneaky about responding to a call.

Are you talking about an actual hunt , as on a weekend, or an online hunt with pics posted through the season?

Both would be cool to do. Lstyear Rack did one but everyone bitch'd and complained because he wouldnt secure any land to hunt on so noone showed up except for a few.

The online one is easy enough. Successful guys put a pic with some thing in the pic to ensure the pic is current. Choose something new each week.
Hunting knife, shotgun shell, whatever.

If anyone is interested in doing a real hunt on a weekend, 2-3 days, I would help build that. I do know areas where there is a lot of land with easy access for coyote calling.

I'd be up for doing some calling and/or skinning demos.

I'll put up a couple custom made predator calls if you get the online hunt happening.

Sounds like a plan redfrog, i do plan on gettin the online up and running for sure as for the weekend one i know some good spots but the access is very limited unfortunately so if we could find some land where a bunch of us could go out for a shoot that would be awesome.
