Default Disc drag hydroplanning

I'm sure most folks out there use modern disc drags, and as fishermen the reel is bound to drop in the water haha. This causes a chattering sound in the reel and messes it up. Do any of you know a solution to this?
Thanks

I think the answer is regular cleaning and re-oil

I use that basic 3 in 1 oil from Canadian tire. Comes in a little red and white bottle. Couple drops a few times a year is all you need.

Before you oil it read the maintenance instructions. Lots of reels today require NO additional lubrication.
