This time of year you'll basically have to head north from calgary to find water that is legal.

Lots of guys do clearwater and athabasca in early season for bulls.

After Jun 16, just about every foothills stream down to the border has ok to good populations of bulls. Some have huge bulls, some not so much.

Lower Kananaskis lake is a good option for Early season bull trout.

Was out on Burnt Timber last weekend and water is still very low and slow flowing with LOTS of ice covering.
Probably not ideal for now.
I did caught some Browns on Little Red and Fallen Timber.
Both river are ice free and holds bulls.
Heading out again this week to LRD =) its been great to me!

Ummm... Did you actually read the post?!... You might want to check the regs before recommending closed waters!!

X2 I would also try certain open rivers that feed into the Athabasca.

Kananasikis lakes have big bulls... not sure if they're open or not you'll have to check the regs.
