Antelope in WMU 150, 151, 152
Anyone planning on drawing for Trophy Antelope in WMU 150, 151, or 152 this year? I have an old timer (my uncle) from Saskatchewan who is a priority 13 for Trophy Antelope but you need to draw with an Albertan and the guy who was going to draw with him backed out. Ill still be his hunter host and such, just need someone for him to draw with. Thanks!

JR you can amend your app and change from 999 to draw amd add a group member if you want to. Changes are still open.

I didn’t think it was that many years ago you could be drawn in these zones as a 9. I was hoping to put my wife in this year but she is only an 11.

The 1st year I hunted antelope I got a tag with priority 1, next time was a 3 then in 2005 it was a 6 and the last tag I got in 2019 it was priority 13, probably will be a 20 or more if I live long enough to get another tag.

It’s going to keep climbing under the present system. Priority system with increasing demand and less opportunity it’s not going to get better. The recent increases in tag/application are not going to change it either.
Consider yourself lucky that you got to experience being drawn as many times as you have because a lot of hunters are not going to get that many chances to hunt pronghorn DIY as an Alberta resident

I drew four times as well, the last time in 2017, so I am hoping to draw one more time myself. The last time, I offered my tag to a youth to partner on, but the schedule didn't work out. I have offered to guide a couple of hunting partners, when they decide to draw for the first time, as they both are P13 or 14.

I pulled a tag out there this year. Been scouting a fair bit and seeing lots. Is it weird that they all look the same to me lol? This is actually my first and likely the last Antelope tag I will pull. I have never hunted them before. Up til now it seem you can watch them for hours but was out scouting today and the bucks are just roaming and chasing hard. Getting nervous on how I’m ever going to decide on which one to shoot and then how to get close…..

A good spotting scope in invaluable for judging pronghorns.
Watch the amount of curl on the horn tips, two bucks may look identical from the side, but one may curl way down and form a heart shape, and be 2" longer than the other.

Well while looking so much at them and most if not all are about the same size you will instantly know when a shooter makes his presence.
Your on them so it’s just a matter of time for you to connect on your trophy, good luck.
