Good game by the Flames last night.

Oilers are looking to have a tough year this year.

Aye, things change fast this early.

Greaser fans talking it up.... then they lose 4 in a row. Oddly quiet by them now eh!

Nashville and Dallas used to have our number. I hope this is a good sign of things to come.

Blah, blah.......I've been gone.

The recent Oil slick, is no more than what happened to the Flames in the pre season. Give 'em a little time, they should, be able to sort it out

Oh ya, & by the way, until their win over Dallas....how was their record any how?

You guys cant possibly beat up on Calgary for last night.
Hell Calgary scored 8 goals.. 4 in the right net and 4 in the wrong.. Those things happen.. They just happened all in one night for the Flames.

Calgary is looking better. A good road trip and they pulled up to .500 on the season.

On another side note, I found it interesting to hear how Ryan came VERY VERY close to being a Flame. Now that was Ryan talking.. It wasn't speculation.
Could you have imagined the uproar 3 hours to the north.. Heck I get giggly just thinking about it

Iggy to Edm. Not likely. Has a nother 5 seasons with CGY after this one.

Looking up for the flames. That road trip is a hell of an improvement over last year.....

Edm seems to be regaining last years form.

I thought this was an N.H.L. thread. Not a Shames vs Spoilers thread. I don't care about Edmonton, unless of course they are whipping the crap out of Cal & Gary.

Default Battle Of Alberta.

Lets get ready to rumbleeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I had to laugh at todays Edmonton Sun.

MacT says that when Raffie Torres is on top of his game he has lots of the same tools as Jerome Iginla...

This is like comparing Tank Abbot to Chuck Liddle.

On who to watch tonight, the sun says Zack Stortini will be out making his presence felt...i hope he is wearing pullups because he might have a nervous accident when Eric Godard steps on the ice.

I think 5-2 in favor of the Flames and they will win all fights.

Default Oilers get in Golf holiday in Phoenix

On their recent road trip the Oilers played golf for a team bonding experience.
Official word is that they were checking out courses so they could make their tee time reservations for their annual trip there in the month of April to kick off their vacations. SAD SACK SOILERS

i can't believe some people are like little kids. insults to the other team blind to common sense, sorry but immature guys. 5-2 flames might happen or 3-1 or 4-3 a estimated score is really arbitrary isn't it? i say someone will win all the fights and i think torres might beat up kristian huselius and i think iginla could take cogliano.

Man, it's HARD being an Oilers fan! They'll be in tough tonight for sure. We're rebuilding (again) and there are some pretty bright spots to look forward to in a couple of seasons. Just remember though, we all live in glass houses, and a time comes for EVERY team to rebuild, so enjoy it while it lasts. It'll probably be an entertaining game though....one way or another!

I dont mean to be rude BrownBomber but you call us little kids yet you are the only one to come on this thread and insult us by calling us immature.

Calgary and Oiler fans have been at each others throats longer then we have been around and as long as we keep are insults to the teams and not eachother( HINT* HINT*) then it is all in good fun and is what makes the rivalry so great.

Hahaha....blahdy,blahdy,blahdy 416. Dont count your chickens.

Stortini & Goddard? would be a good 'bout, I myself would lean towards Goddard, but who knows.

Who said Torres & Huselius? more like Torres to beat up on Goddard!

Is this the same chump who lost his last two fights to underdogs?

hey how did the phlegms do last year in the post season? seems to me they had a REAL good team of UNDER ACHIEVERS.

HAHA....I love the battle of AB, even if it does include a paltry team like them redshirts

lets take kipper, Jerome & the 3 train away.....see how they do then.....Imagine, an entire franchise revolvong around three guys!

Cmfic my friend,

I think you spent to much time up in the cold wind in Alaska as it seems to have frozen your brain.

Torres and Godard i think you had better watch the Godard and Boogard fight on you tube before you put your money on torres.

Chuck has lost two but how many has he won?

Also the flames were the only team last year to have 4 players with 70 points or more so it is not just kipper and iggy anymore.

As for the Flames post season last year i cant agree with you more as it was a pathetic effort.

I am counting my chicken's a little early and if the Coilers win tonight then i will have to put my s**t suit on and prepare to be dumped on.

Thing about Torres, IMO he hasnt been tested too much in a fight......the man is a TANK!!!!!!
The fights hes been in, is always a one sided affair of "help me, I just got my azz kicked by a little mexicano"

I would bet money, he would step up to goddard in a minute

As far as tonites game, I just bet 10 for the flames with my Dad, that stuff gets him going bad. He even asked me "I never thought you would bet for the flames".......only against you ol'timer!

Ahh, i'm back I agree, Torres would stand up to Goddard anyday, and i'll also agree..when he is on his game he does have the same "style" and plays as iggy. Hes got one hell of a mental game going on...because hes hot and cold all the time. But what I really wanna see is Stortini cream Goddard. I say 4-2 oilers...kipper has been pretty crappy this year IMO (and TSN, Sportsnet, and the Scores) If Roli plays like he did last game the oilers will win...plain and simple. We have a better team this year, too bad Souray cant let off any bombs tonight Kipper would dive out of the way

Looks like a big win for the Flames.

3 point night for Iginla,13 points on the year all ready.

The Flames have some real fire power up front.

Stortini could not even beat up Grampa Nolan.

Roloson played really well but just did not have any help.

Did anyone see Torres out there.

Cmfic looks like you are 10$ richer.

rough game last night....flames played well and contolled the puck well...roli was as good as we could ask him to be and gave the oilers every opotunity to win.

stortini couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag...not sure why he keeps getting the nod.

i really hope thing start turning around for the oilers.....if not it is going to be one looooong season.

nasty hit by raffi...i hate to see those head shots..although i don't think his was really intentional, i still don't like to see them.
