Brent can NOT be signed as the Flames coach as he is still under contract to the NJ Devils. They would have to release him and I cant see that happening. It's more likely the Dave Tippet may be your new coach....but more likely Darryl ends up coaching.

Dont be sorry, you beat BB to this thread plain and simple. The 08/09 season is done, who says it starts in Sept??? All the good trade's and free agency is way before then.

Nope they ain't. We got enough already! Hamilton don't need a team anyway; however they could send 'em back to winterpeg...

Default team in Hamilton

I heard that if they put an NHL team in Hamilton, Calgary is going to submit a bid to have one in Calgary too.

anyone else read Brian Burkes comments about Heatly asking for a trade. Apparently he doesn't trade for players that ask for a trade and it gets leaked to the media....... Um, what about the Pronger deal. I seem to remember a whole lotta hoopla about that in the meeting. Didn't Lowe go around to all the teams at the entry draft and give them each a list of players they would be interested in for pronger. Burke is a media *****. what a loser.

x2 Burke loves to criticize others yet does the same things himself. Pronger is one example. How he bailed on Anaheim is another. The guy is just a blowhard. Highly over-rated. He didn't get most of the guys that one him his one cup in Anaheim. Did squat in Vancouver and will do as well in T.O.

Well it would be nice to have at least one hockey team in Alberta.

I forecast (and hope) Darryl is coaching Calgary again. There are a few issues I am wondering about. The main one is Camalleri. Staying or going? It would be very beneficial for us if he stayed. Number two is if we are going to have 2 tenders next year. I know that one is beating a dead horse, but come on!! It doesn't take a genious to figure out if McWhazizname could have won 2 games, we would have been 1st with home ice and that might have changed our whole playoff picture.

I think Heatly will end up in Vancouver, not that I want him to. I would love to see him in a Oilers uniform and see the Oil upgrade at center as well, I like Hoc, but not a first line center if you ask me.

I agree, Darryl will be behind the bench again for a year then his brother will step in once his contract in New Jersey is done. I think Cammi is gone to the highest bidder, young guy that likes the fast life, he will be gone to a California team or a New York team if they pony up the cash. I dont see Calgary being able to afford him, and dont think he wants to stay that bad.
Darryl just re-signed McElheyny (sp) so I think he is the back-up the Flames are stuck with. I dont see them spending the money to up grade him when Kipper is going to play 72-74 games every year.

If Kipper could have won 2 more games the same could be said; fact is without kipper the flames are nothing and is proven by the backups record

Horc is in Edmonton to stay!!!! Who would take him for that contract? He better be more than a first line centre this year! His salary has him in some pretty elite company!

At least fans dont pee on the floors like in the Maxi Dome. And at least try to be objective Rexall is the 2nd oldest building in the NHL and will be replaced but still ranked as one of the players favorite places to play.....McMahon is a hole and always was. Are their even plans to replace it?
