Default Caroline Lakes June 3

Hi Fellas,
I am planning to make the most of a slow work day on Wednesday and head out to the usual lakes around Caroline. Just wondering if anyone has been out recently and can comment on road and fishing conditions/winter kill? I will happily share my experience of the day afterward. Just out to enjoy some of Albertas stocked ponds until the rivers clean up.
Thanks
Jamie

The road in to Fiesta is a bloody nightmare and you are best to avoid without tow straps and a winch. Frost heaves were bad and then the may long it took a beating and then all the rain made it even worse.

Went last weekend and we took a look and turned around...it was that bad.

Went and fished Ironside and it was good. Mitchell is also right there and you can't go wrong at Beaver or Birch.

Road to Birch is not good. Deep ruts.
Beaver is fishing poorly.

You mean the rod to Birch. I can’t believe people got their campers into those leases and some small cars got past that section. Ruts are 3 feet deep. Fished beaver 3 days straight. Fishing was slow as the rain knocked the fishing down.

Default caroline lakes

Fished Beaver for 2 days; lots of stockers, with one or two heavy take downs. but generally slow. lots of fly fishers at times but didn't see a lot of fish being caught.
