It's not a louse or flea as this one has 8 legs like a tick. Also the shape is more like a tick. Never seen one quite that color though ……….. interesting

What is the thing in the picture it's next too - that seems to be equally intriguing trying to figure that out

Pretty sure I had a few of those on my nards back in my late teens. Good old Raid and a kerosene rinse did the job if memory serves. Didn't have to use the matches thankfully.
