anyone else get a invite to the opening of cabelas on aug 3rd??
got a invite to attend a "private" pre grand openingof cabelas on aug 3rd. invite says they will rpovide food and have draws for trips etc.. anyone else get it? I am debating driving to edmonton either 3rd for the privte openeing or the 4th so i can go to hunt fest and cabelas.. looking to buy a new gun. anyone have any idea which place will have cheaper guns?

Got the invite in the mail this morning. Hard to say which would have cheaper firearms, don't they usually have gun draws at those kinda things? Very exciting anyways.

ya the only contact I have had with cabelas is buying a pair of boots on line last year..
so where does everyone think the cheap guns are? cabelas or hunt fest ?

Not sure how far back they would go on Canadian mail order customers but used to order all my waterfowl and sheep equipment from them. Maybe the computer records don't go back over 5 years?
Would have been a good excuse to see Huntfest

I received a "few" of them based on being on the committee for the Alberta Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. I too will not be able to use them as the wife and I are not heading up until early on Friday to Huntfest (and of course Cabela's!!) as we are helping out at the Alberta Fish and Game Association booth. If your at Huntfest, stop by and say hi as we are inside the main doors and immediately to the left in the first booth.

I got mine, not sure it is based on past mail orders otherwise I should have gotten at least 20 of them! I didn't get mine for ordering via mail, but through a friend in the outfitting business.

I've got a couple of tickets, and a buddy of mine also has a couple....we have a 3rd party going with us, potentially a 4th. If our 4th jams out, I will happily give one of mine to Ken....! I'll let you know by the 1st what's going on. TC
