Default Spray

Further up the reservoir you should be okay. There's lot's of overflow and slush, but last Saturday, we were still drilling through a foot and half of ice underneath it all. Waterproof boots or snowshoes will keep your feet happier, though there's been an additional two snowfalls since. I also heard of spooky ice back towards Driftwood, as you stated above.

If Beeguy thinks you need to bring some rope then maybe it's time to say I'll wait till next winter.

Yikes scary

I saw lots of people at Driftwood today as we drove by, but we ended up going to Sparrowhawk which was fine. Lots of fresh snow to hike through and about 4" of slush under the snow

a source tells me our holes from last saturday were still open today.

The shorelines around sparrowhawk are ok but there is lots of flooding and those snow covered 10" holes are still open

aint nothin wrong with packing rope

I was there yesterday and there is still about a foot and a half of ice but there is a lot of meltwater under the snow. In the wee hours of the day it was OK because it was frozen on the surface but after the sun came out, I was soaked. I would definitely wear rubber boots.
