Smile N Sask River Walleye

On this past Sat spent the day fishing with Mike Maidens from Get Hooked Adventures. My buddy landed a walleye that was just under 10 lbs! It was an absolute beast. I have never seen a walleye that big!. Mike is a great guide and knows the river well. Great fall day with incredible scenery. Makes me want to own a jet boat!

Between myself and my fishing partner we have caught 5 over 30” this year. Gotta love large rivers!

Nice to read. Congrats. You don't need a jet boat to get the big ones. Late fall lots of walleye will be just the length a cast from shore.

You are correct. That big walleye was hooked about 5' from shore. Nice to fish out of a boat though as you access numerous holes if you know where they are. In a different hole we a caught the same thick 6 1/2 lb pike twice!
