Sounds pretty quiet, compared to Backcountry Sports, given it's the same management. They had fliers in all the surounding towns and some great deals. Open Sunday?

Mrs. Greasy stopped by today. The place was locked and dark. Definitely not open and no one was there doing any prep.

Sign on the door today said April 10. Drywallers and Glass guys still working away in there. I will be interested to see how they manage to pull that one off.

I liked the crew at Backcountry, and the original Wolverine (YK), but whoever is in charge of getting this one open has to clean there sheets, they have **** the bed in a big way.

I was looking for it when were at Costco on the weekend and i never even saw a sign, Is it the old furniture store?
You can never have to many Outdoor sporting good stores to choose from. It will also be closer than driving to the North end.

Springer, if you're taking highway 2 south, take the exit to Costco, right at the fas gas and drive past Staples, its directly across from the entrance to the movie theater and it's the last store on the left right beside Ashley's Furniture.

I was told they will have archery lanes. Sounds like bowtech and fred bear products is what they will be selling.
I also heard Saturday the 10th was opening day.
Personally I am hoping they carry a decent line of fishing supplies. Save myself a few miles going into Calgary.

I called and asked. They open on Saturday April 10 if things go according to plan. Apparently Canada Post shipped the Interac machines to parts unknown. Twice.

Supposedly tomorrow (Saturday)......then again it was supposed to open April 1, then the 3rd, then the 7th, then the 10th. Just like when backcountry closed....changed the final day like 14 times before it actually happened.

WOW!!!! just got back, there was practically no inventory present (understandable) and the stuff they had was once again waaaaaaaay overpriced especially there waders, wading boots, reloading gear (what they had) and scopes. Ill do the drive to bass pro and save some money even with the gas to get there.

Its pretty sad, I just bought a leaupy scope from frontier firearms and even with the shipping it cost $200 less than what they were asking WTF? am I missing something here, why do sporting shops in Red Deer think they can charge so much? Are people paying these prices and not looking around? can any one help me with this.

Thats why the internet is such a wonderful tool. You can shop around for the best prices and not burn a drop. Hmmm. The internet is good for the environment.

When will they learn that price and assortment is king. Don't have that and good service then "See ya". Another store that put itself out of business.
