Default Gopher field wanted.

Looking for some fields loaded with gophers around Camrose. Cleaned out on over three years, now I need another field.

Exactly! It seems that these days people have gotten so lazy, that they can't be bothered to put any effort into finding a place to shoot ground squirrels, coyotes, game birds, or big game.

Lazy? I drive around looking for fields. Was just asking if anyone needed a field cleared to help out population in fields that farmers may have. I spend my own money on shells. I don't ask for any bullets, money, or gas from the farmers. I do this to help the farmers field which we cleared of aprox. 5000 gophers over last three years and very few are left. The farmer appreciates us. My reward is to have a blast and fun with my son and whoever else comes along. This thread has nothing to do with someone who isn't willing to go and find a field. I do my due diligence.

got to do just like the rest of us, go for a drive in the country, find a pasture that has gophers then find the land owner, have a chat with him, many will offer to buy your 22 shells, be polite thank them but tell them no thanks, you supply the gophers and I will supply the ammo.
I have never yet been refused yet save for the guys that have kids or grandchildren that do the shooting for them

I just recently drove by a field outside of strathmore that the gophers were so thick, they had the crop eaten down to the dirt in most places. It reminded me of the spots I shoot.

Really? I've had a couple pm me and ask if I would like to shoot gophers on their land. It would appear that some consider them pests and want them gone. Giant white tails on the other hand might be a different story....
