Default Boots - resole

Curious if anyone has had this done? I have a pair of Lowa Tibet boots that are still in good shape, but the treads on the soles are worn down on them. Interested if getting them resoled is a viable option or not? Considering my options of whether to just continue to wear them, get them resoled, or buy a new pair and retire these from the mtns for use elsewhere.

Duk, there's a really good Italian cobbler on the NW corner of 20ave and (IIRC) Edmonton Tr. NE. Comfy, broke in uppers are worth their weight in gold, so I'd go that route.

I had four sets of soles put on my Danner Rainforests, and the upper was still in pretty good shape if you can believe it! Loved those boots......finally had to switch to a lighter footwear, my Danner's were wearing me out! But comfy? Hell yeah!

Alpine boots is great, I have had 2 pairs resoled by Gary. There is also a guy out of Canmore I believe called the boot doctor who is mobile. I believe he picks up and drops off....or at least he used to.

Picked them up and they seem pretty good. The true test will come once I hit the trails with them, but first impressions are good and they were nice to deal with as well.

Wow, if it works out that's pretty cheap and no breaking new boots in! Keep us posted.
