Default buerocratic bs

don't know how to uplink this newscast.
young mother spent the day at the hosp. with sick 2 yr. daughter. got on bus and just wanted to get home with her daughter. didn't have exact change (3.00) and the bus was already in motion. offered to pay with a 5 dollar bill (all she had) and didn't expect change back. bus driver said loonies only and told her she could get a ticket. driver called ahead and transit cops pulled her off bus. woman is in tears. another passenger offered to pay her fare but transit cops said don't worry ride will be free. then they give the the mother a 219.00 ticket and leave her stranded on the sidewalk holding her sick 2 yr. old daughter. she walked home.
another hardened criminal off the streets. justice prevails. that should teach her.

News article is already posted a couple threads down. Nowhere did it say she offered to pay the extra. Remember there are two sides to every story, who is to say she refused to pay the extra and the fine was deserved?

Regardless a story about a woman getting a fine for not having a bus ticket is hardly national news worthy.
