I see, to be fair, they also included Mexico and Central America
Let's all welcome the new mega-country called; 'Homeland'
Those silly Yanks just get sillier (and more paranoid) by the day.

Can we all carry handguns and request diplomatic immunity now?

we are pretty much American, we are like the parrot on their shoulder these days with ol Stevie Bush in power... Anything the yanks do Canada parrots.
I think they let us have our own border so we feel like a seperate country, Plus it makes our resources cheaper without them actually having to get cold to get at them.

Actually, if we look reeeal close, we can see that, in addition to Canada, Mexico and Central America ... the Caribbean and Greenland are also part of 'Homeland'!
I feel so safe now

Seems harmless enough but it is indicative of a trend that keeps repeating itself.
On some level... they consider us their playground and their property.
And anyone that doesn't believe that should familiarize themselves with something called Manifest Destiny and the Munroe Doctrine because those sentiments are alive and well.
There have been so many attempts to insinuate themselves into our affairs ...especially since 911...that I for one have lost count.
Lobbiests, headhunters, direct political pressure, media pressure. spying and hostile and even spiteful trade practices.
Its about time the government of Canada steps up and very publically and firmly tells them to stay in their own yard..or learn to play nice.
They are just as bad as the USSR was...like bad inlaws.
You invite them in and then they refuse to go home while drinking your last beer.

Included Cuba too.
Last time I checked Cuba was still on the State Department's list of
"State Sponsors of Terrorism".
That's some funny ****.
What the NSA is doing with PRiSm, XKeyCode and so on is not funny.
A lot of Americans are not very happy either.

Under Chretien and almost two years before 9/11, Canada signed onto "Blue Skies" which means the U.S can fly over and land any aircraft without notice to those governing Canadian airspace.
When 9/11 happened Canucks and 'Mericans were feeling all chummy for our hosting all those planes needing to dock. In reality, we had no say in the matter due the agreement Chretien signed.

Some of this started even earlier.
Most of it started out as common sense good neighbour policy and seemed quite harmless.
The point now is that mission creep has advanced this sort of thinking to gthe point that it has started to become a very serious threat to our soveriegnty.

Are we american?
Not yet, but there are so many people from Mexico there that there will have to be a pronounciation change to the way we say "American".
People now pronounce it, American - Am air i can
In the future it should be American - Am er 'e' can.

That ^ works for me! They can pronounce it any way they want
So, just for the record, what part of 'Homeland' do you live in, and do you speak American, or Mexican ... or are you bilingual?
And please explain this ... why does the NSA map ignore all of South America, Australia, and New Zealand?!?!

Of course we're Americans as we live in America. If we lived in Europe, we would be called Europeans...duh!

I don't think, but know, you can't compare the USA with the USSR. Who do you think defends Canada? Big brother isn't going to let anything happen to Canada, so suck it up.
By the way, thanks for your last beer.
