Default fishing around nelson/golden/kootenay lake

Hi, going to do a tour of the area for a week and looking for some info on fishing. Rivers, like to flyfish mainly,

Kootenay Lk, most likely just from shore. Where to try, what to use?

Good, quiet campgrounds?

thanks.

Just came back from holidays at Kootenay Lake. Fishing has been slow from all the hot weather. Caught a 4-5lb bull trout trolling an apex at 70'down, a couple small rainbows and a couple of little Kokanee. We were trolling the entire time ....I'd try fish in front of any creeks coming into the big lake. Did a little bit of snorkeling and there were quite a few fish stacked up at the creek mouths. As for a nice campground...try Riondel...it is on the east shore of the North arm....10km from the Kootenay Bay Ferry.

Another campground you have to stay at is Kokanee Creek Prov Park....between Balfour and Nelson. The fish latter there should have a tonne of spwaning kokanee in it right now.
