With his pedigree it will be more Darryl interviewing teams rather than vice versa. His phone has probably already been blowing up. The Sutter's blue collar work ethic which was also carried out on the ice could never be questioned. Amazing family...

Vancouver, New York Islanders, and Dallas all need coaches. My money is on Dallas. Warm like California and he gets to stay in the Western Conference.

The Canucks announced Travis Green as their head coach two days ago.

Daryl is a great coach, any team will be lucky to have him.

Always been a big Darryl Sutter fan. Great representation of the western Canadian attitude in the NHL. Like others, I doubt he'll be unemployed for long.

I dunno... his temperament isn't far off Mike Keenan's. Those guys are a dying breed. He's an older players coach in a league of young players who need teachers. And it would take a very confident and secure GM to hire him, given he will probably by trying to tell you what to do constantly, and likely be a candidate to replace you.

My guess is that there are a lot of teams that hope that their opposition signs the Jolly Rancher as a head coach - or better yet, that they sign him as a general manager.

Man, I need to read more sports news. 0 for 3 on the coaching appointments. Maybe Sutter won't find a job! One thing is for sure, it's a good thing I am not his agent.
