Default New to me 270WSM

So I picked up a new to me 270WSM Kimber 8400 with Zeiss glass, approx 100 rounds down the tube before me.

I went and shot a couple boxes of factory to get a feel for it, and think maybe its going to be a keeper!

Want to start hand loading for now....thinking either IMR4831 or H4350 with some type of 140 or 150's?

Anyone want to share their experience?

Cheers

My rifle shoots the 130gr Accubond very well, but each rifle is an individual.

My Tikka 270wsm loves the 140 Noslor AB being pushed by IMR4831. That gun will build snowman at 250 yards all day long..

I use 130 grn Nosler Accubonds. With the IMR 4831 I was getting a muzzle velocity of 3200 fps.

I have a Browning X-Bolt and I couldnt get it to shoot the Nosler Accubonds in 130 & 140gr with multiple powders. They just didnt seem to want to group.
It shot the 130gr TTSX's with IMR4350 at 3360fps very well but was a touch hot so I switched to 140gr Hornady BTSP's and im shooting them at 3040fps with IMR4350 and 0.7" groups at 100yds.
I have yet to shoot any game with my 270wsm yet, but I really like the fit and feel of the Browning and it is quickly becoming my favourite gun.

I use R-22 as well, and it drives the 130gr Accubond at 3375fps, but my 1885 has a 28" barrel.
