Default I'll pass

Been to its lots through the years. Too bad they don't have sections with military , western, hunting , other etc. It's all random.
Great show but I just find for myself too much junk and non interesting stuff. But on the other hand treasure for others.
Kamloops is a bit smaller but way more quality arms in contrast to military stuff.
I'll go to Kamloops instead.

Right on! The BMO center is throwing its overweight, sweaty guy in camo get together! Every vehicle in the parking lot will have a Browning buckmark sticker in the back window

Admission is $10

Plus the exorbitant parking, which will make your entry about 25.

You don't have to park there. Take the C-Train there. And take your purchase home on the C-Train! Meet the friendly members of the Calgary Police Service Tactical squad as they scream at you to lay on the ground!

This year has quite a few really nice guns soon to be hitting the Canadian market, however I doubt the ones I'd like to test drive will be there. Mainly Kel Tec and Standard Manufacturing. Boo

Has anyone seen 10/22 parts there. I'd like to make a custom 10/22 but have been having trouble figuring out where to source the parts from

how has the pricing been in the past?
I've never traveled for the calgary shows prior only because the smaller ones around me usually have inflated pricing.

Typical most want an arm and a leg not like the show 20 years ago when you could make great deals in the parking lot.
You really gotta search hard.

Wolverine Supplies noted on CGN that they won't be attending this year, I guess the costs of the travel, lodging and extra staff labor wasn't worth it last year.

I am VERY sorry to hear this, I am in the market for a new S&B, and had hoped to see them to discus availability and delivery.

Good Luck, YMMV.

Default I will be helping at Brianedwards table at least Friday

Answering questions about hunting dog training, promoting the pheasant farm while trying to sell a couple safe queens some odd ball 308 bullets (220 silvertips) and a pintail pair wildlife print with stamp (Hayden) with a carved man cave decoy. As I told Brian I will only be bringing quality junk!!!

We have a long list of existing AO hecklers but the more the merrier!! I could name names but most of them dont tell us their real name just the AO handle. Some come from as far away as Ft Mac and Brooks!!

I'll be going, usually worth a look. I've had good an bad experiences. It seems more like a show and tell than it used to be, prices are a little inflated and no room for bargaining, in my experience anyway.

Have always found bits and pieces for my ever growing Lee Enfield collection...

I hope it's ok to ask in this thread but is there a place you can try rifles? How do I know what I want/like?

Try Dlask arms for 10/22 parts, decent guys to deal with. Building a 10/22 can be very addictive and expensive.

If you are new to shooting and don't have friends who shoot, that can be a tough one... places like Calgary Shooting Centre have firearms you can rent. As well, some of the local clubs have open houses were you could have a chance to try some different firearms.
