Default Carbon Tax rally in red deer nov 5 - city hall

Carbon tax rally in Red Deer November 5 in front of city hall.

Ill be there.

More of a fight against a new tax. If a government can't get by with 35% of my and everyone else's income, there is a problem.

Allies across Alberta in 11 communities — including Red Deer — are planned on Nov. 5 with the focus on the pending carbon tax.

Organizers of the Alberta Wide Rally said they will be asking participants to support a petition calling for a referendum on the carbon tax, slated to kick in Jan. 1.

Todd Beasley, of Calgary, who is the managing director of the rallies, said Friday that the provincial government does not have a mandate for the tax on fuel and that it will have “serious societal consequences” for Alberta, especially when there are technological advancements in carbon capture and storage.

Bill 20, the Climate Leadership Implementation Act, will impose a $20 per tonne carbon levy in 2017 ($30 in 2018) to reduce greenhouse gases and mitigate the impact of climate change.

Default Good on you ----- 35 % ?

Effective tax rate (including all the hidden taxes ) is now over fifty .

thats right -- our gubbermint takes half of what you earn and it's still not enough, the report i attached below does not even factor in nutley's new carbon tax.

https://www.fraserinstitute.org/site...titiveness.pdf

and federally with trudeau - canada's taxes have no place to go but up.

evident with his recent downloading of health cares increased costs on to the provinces.

PS ... like his Dad, justin loves big gov't and other bureaucratic orgs which he will continue to grow ( 'cuz that 's where his future vote will come from) and create an ever increasing tax burden on average canadian wage earners like six-pack Joe.

... the trudeaus disdain business (unless we`re talking about bombardiar) - especially corporate canada and believe a large strong federal gov't is needed to counter balance fortune 500's impact on Canada.

... while at the same time their not adverse to stealing from the people (tax payers) to line their own pockets

like his Dad - justins never had to work for a living - so how would he know any different - guess we are stuck with his smug entitled attitude (the tredeaus are notorious for) for the next few yrs.

Four speakers address the people in attendance, the mc did an excellent job and it was the first time I hear the leader of the wildrose speak in person.

Excellent.

This is why fire can be a benefit.

The answer is never simple but the opportunity was given.

A joke was shared, it pointed to organized demonstration.

Being non violent the objective.

It will be interesting to see if the next government gets rid of the tax. (along with a lot of other taxes that need to be ditched as well)

50% of our income going to the masters is a bit much if you ask me.
