Heart on sleeve here for a moment... My little furry 4 legged soul mate died nearly 10 years ago at the age of 4, was poisoned somehow. I never felt grief like that in my life, cried and cried for weeks. I cut off some fur from her little dead body, framed it with a beautiful picture of her - but could never bring myself to hang it. I swore off dog ownership after Tia died, never wanted to feel that again. It's been everyone else's dogs ever since.

Now that I have a dog in my life, I felt it fitting to hang her picture on my wall. Never could before. it's been nearly 10 years, and I still get a knot in my stomach when I look at her picture and think about her. Sounds strange, but some animals just never fade.

Default Sorry for your loss

Sorry to here about ..ToTall ..
A horse has a funny way getting in to a mans soul ,but once hes there its for life . I got a grave yard with head stones of the many horse's that have graced this ranch . Their bridles still hang in the tack room never to be used again ,but as a reminder to never forget the many stories of your time together .

I'm sorry for your loss. You gave that horse an extra 27 years of wonderful ownership and the companionship shared was just as strong as with any human friend. Horses are very intelligent animals and I believe that the horse knew what you saved it from.

RIP TooTall
