magazine questions

are you allowed to bring hand gun magazines across the border as long as they comply with canadian laws??

also, if bringing in a handgun from the states....i am assuming it has to comply before it comes in..or can you have the magazines pinned once it gets here?

As long as you have the necessary permits,which includes an export permit from the U.S. authorities.

10 round mags are legal for hand guns in Canada. No need to pin.

umm yes, but what about guns that come with more than a 10 round magazine...

many handguns that you can buy in places other than canada or california have a higher than 10 round capacity....just 3 off the top of my head would be the xd, p30L and the px4...and i am guessing he MnP as well....many of them come in a 15 round (9mm)

just a pain to find used ones in the states with a 10 round magazine.

OK. Don't follow handguns too closely. I had to get my high capacity mags (20 rounders) all pinned. Rifle though.

Almost all handguns minus revolvers except revolvers and compact carry ones, come with more than 10 rounds. Even some of hte compacts come with more than 10.
