Default Grass fires in Crowsnest

Two different ones.

Hwy 3 shut down.

Edge of Coleman being put on evac alert.

100-120 km/h winds.

Hope everyone stays safe out there.

Hilda/Burstall are under evacuation orders too.

Apparently there is a fire in they Cypress Hills, but that might be a rumor.

Stay safe out there guys and be smart. I was downtown for lunch today and had to stomp out some dry leaves that were smoldering because a smoker was too lazy to put out his ciggy.

Yup. Parents getting turned back in the pass as I type this. Apparently hwy 3 closed to the BC border. And now a big grass fire near Airdrie too.

Stuck on Hwy 3 west of Coleman between the lakes and Sentinel. These winds are crazy.

Just drove through a massive grass fire on hwy 901. Almost biblical. Glecien and Carsland evacuated.

Something a little unnerving about toodling through a smoke enduced brownout with the wipers sweeping ash off the windshield and hauling a couple of trailers full of gasoline.

Be smart be safe.

I'm parked now east of Tilly. Winds are starting to die off and it's raining. Might actually get some sleep tonight
