Default Bears still out strolling around.

These critters were seen still out for a stroll on Oct. 25 near Pincher Creek. Keep on your toes if you are out and about in the area.

If you want lots of grizz go to Grande Cache/Kakwa river. Almost half the grizz in the province in that Bear Management zone.
Grizz normally do not go to den until end of November.

Good thing those in the know say there are only 980 some in the province. I think that is as high as they can count. The grizz are spreading all over the province. It is high time to open the hunt again and put some fear back into those bears. Just my thoughts.

Forty years ago you were lucky to see a grizzly track by Edson. Now they come and visit you in your truck four at a time.

Sorry, been hunting and lately trapping in Edson country for almost 50 years. I always look for All tracks including grizz. Grizz are running across my trapline like rabbits now. Almost easier to find a sasquatch track 40 years ago.

I was being sarcastic, no one in government wants to admit they're everywhere these days and a Hunt would be the right way to deal with it.

You are right Grizz but they are afraid to offend the bunny huggers. Just a bunch of politically correct wimps in our government. When they closed the hunt there was supposed to be 1000 to 1500 grizzlies and you could not find one. Now there is only 980 and they are every where and expanding their range. Some thing just does not add up maybe we should do another 10 year study.

Had a griz woof at me and run away while hunting Tuesday. Glad it didn’t come to investigate me more, I have enough issues without getting chased by a Bruin!
