Krieghoff Semprio: innovative rifle

Yesterday I got to handle and dry fire a brand new rifle design, the Krieghoff Semprio pump action in 243. Available in 6.5, 7 and 7.62 cal.

Cycling the pump disconnects the barrel from the action, with the barrel, part of the action housing and the forestock moving forward. The stock style is North American with a high comb, and acquisition of the excellent hi-viz open sights is instant. The trigger is excellent, felt like 3#. Well fitted Turkish walnut throughout.

$4000 or thereabouts so it was fun to handle but not in the cards for this guy.

Magnum Magazine in South Africa did a very detailed write up and hunt with one last year , in about the Sept/.Oct edition.

The author and rifle editor Gregor Woods is normally conservative and traditionalist in his tase of rifles but wrote glowingly of the Semprio and gave very good feedback. The accuracy with FL was outstanding.
