Default Gangs And Assult Weapons On The News...

Just caught a part of the news this morning , and the topic was how Gangs are using Assult Rifles, handguns, and other combat type weapons in their comission of crimes. The Jist of the story was how tighter regulations of the import, and sale of these guns was needed to help control these problems. They went on to mention how in a Richmond Area gang shootout, that over 150 rounds of ammunition were fired from 3 AUTOMATIC assult rifles. Wait A Minute.... Those are already Illegal ! So why on earth would gangs have them ?

Unfortunately those in power fail to see that more regulations will not stop these individuals. Maybe if all criminals recieved proper sentances, and had to spend 1 year in a halfway house before their full release... And the judges that scentanced these criminals had these halfway houses surounding all four sides of Their homes... We then might see a change in attitude towards the Guilty, instead of further trying to regulate those who comply with the law...

I agree completely.

Unfortunately, enacting anti-gun laws gives the appearance that the government is doing the right thing to the masses of ignorant people out there. Lets face it, most people in this country don't have a clue what we have to do just to get a license to possess a shotgun let alone restricted or prohibited firearms the gangs use.

This is why I say that we have to inform the public....to educate them.....at every opportunity. By saying nothing, we get nothing and no where. By showing that we are responsible and on the right side of this issue, we will slowly make headway.

You hit the nail on the head Eagle Eye. I'd be willing to bet that not a one of those guns, even the legal ones, were imported legally.

They see fine, they don't care and know full well these regulations don't work. As long as the socially engineered majority of the general population thinks they are doing something by making these regulations they will get votes. If they actually fixed the problem they wouldn't have an election issue to draw all those votes from the vast majority of Canadians who are libtard socialists.

What the heck is a assault weapon? Is it black and scary? Or just the liberal media?

While this maybe posted in the wrong thread and if so , I would support the moderators choices to move or lock or leave it here....

Now having said that, I live in BC the lower mainland region (near YVR) and it has been every other day that these shootings occur, just yesterday ( Feb.16 ) a woman was shot and killed while here 4yr old child was in the same car!!!!! WTF, these punks ass criminals need to either be locked up for a very long time or they should be sent back to the country from whence they came !!!!!
It will be status quo until either a Judge or a Politician is killed before anything changes and it will be you and I, the law abiding Gun user who will suffer, the Politicians sit in thier ivory tower and do nothing but think of ways to make money for themselves and tax the working stiff!!!!
I'm sorry, this rant has gotten the better of me.... I am so ****ed off of the murder and mayhem that is going on out in the streets from where I live.
