.300 WM does the same thing as the 7mm but with heavier bullets. More frontal area. More recoil with the .300 with heavy loads. Both great one gun choices, the 7 being easier to handle if you're recoil sensitive.

Normally when the "7mm" is mentioned , especially beside the 300 mag, it is the 7mm Rem Mag that is being reffered to.
Myself, I don't particularlly like or use eiother, even though I own one of each!!

One might assume that, except the title of another of his threads is

He doesn't appear to be referencing the 7mmremmag with "7mm. wm" in that thread,so I am not going to assume that he is referring to the 7mmremmag in this thread either.

I do know that Jack is asking a group of people a question and though he did not give enouf info for the question to be answered, he is looking for information and shuld not be discuraged. I am sure he will check out his thread and re-post which 7mm he is inquireing about.

You know there are too many people giving their opinions on how a person posts . Instead of giving a person, peronal expirence on what the person is asking . Who cares if you don't prefer either caliber, keep it to your-self and go do something like go shooting or do you like to type.

How do you give an opinion on a specific cartridge, when the poster does not specify a cartridge? He specifies the 7mm caliber which means nothing more than that the cartridge uses a .284" bullet. Many cartridges use the .284" bullet, and there are huge performance differences between them.
