As far as I know you can only edit your posts for up to 30 minutes after you post them. You can edit the title at any time though, just double click on the space beside the title. You can always add another post to add some details you forgot.

Hope that helps.

Or...... Pm a mod to make your edits so the 3 day bump rule isn't violated.

Early bumps get zapped as we see them or as they are reported no questions asked, missed info or not.

And we are just going to start infracting people who show no interest in ads and just say stupid crap like " I can get that for $blah somewhere else".........and also just deleting people bumping ads with questions. We have a pm system

See, now that's starting to get a little extreme. If people are "bumping" an add with questions, it means it's getting interest, and hence SHOULD be bumped.
Also if it's a good question about something that was omitted in the OP, (ie: where located, what colour, what year, what model, etc) why not let that post stand, so the OP can answer it, then it doesn't have to be asked again? Instead of having 32 different people having to ask the same question over and over via pm.....get what I mean?

Most of these problems could be easily solved, if you just allowed the thread creator to edit his OP. Any edit's won't "bump" the thread, and he doesn't have to bother the mods for changes. Also, very few seem to be able to grasp how to change the thread title, and hence about 90% of "For Sale" ads never get changed to "SOLD". (one of THE most annoying things about AO's B&S section )
Such a simple solution....allowing him to edit the initial post.
