I was out west yesterday, when I ran into the Stocking Truck. I chatted with him for a while, and he confirmed that everything is on Schedule. He doesn't expect any slow down, in southern Alberta anyway.
He went on to say, as far as he knows, the only stocking that has been altered, has been that of the Cold Lake Hatchery, and it would basically only disturb the Walleye stocking.

ACA says almost all the lakes are now stocked. So if you look at last year's list and compare it to this year's, you will see many ponds and lakes missing. For instance, Dickson isn't on the list this year. I've always watched and waited for our favorite ponds to get updated, and noticed early that some were not on the list. Usually they are listed as pending, but this season they are absent.

But last time I mentioned this, I was told I was wrong. So I waited to see. And here we are, May long and my favs are there

Guys...take it easy....

1) The ACA only reports ACA stockings....NOT AEP stockings. If you have been reading any of the previous threads you will realize that ACA stocks VERY FEW fish. The VAST majority of fish stocking is done by AEP
2) The AEP stocking list is NOT up to date as some stockings are planned for late May, early June and September.
3) Dickson trout pond was stocked 3 times last September....so, it may not get a dump this spring.

Checked out mclean creek pond on Tuesday the 19th. Not stocked. Strange last year this pond was stocked same day as other ponds in area before the long weekend. Campground was closed so maybe this has something to do with it.
