CZ rimfire rings
May be acquiring a CZ 455 rimfire. Just wondering what others are using for a ring set up on this unit. I handled the model briefly but the bolt throw escapes me as I know some of the other cz's require high rings to make sure there is enough bolt clearance. Will be mounting a scope with no bigger than a 40MM objective.

I'm running a 455 and gave Sun Optics rings a pilot run. No complaints as of yet. I'm almost positive they are high and I'm running a 40mm obj with no issues.

My favorite for the CZ's are the Talleys.

We are running Burris signature rimfire high rings on our 455 heavy barrel. With a Ziess conquest 3-9.

Talley or Leupold,
when getting a scope for the CZ, rimfire or 527, stay away from scopes with a larger rear bell, ie Nikon, Burris etc,
Leopold, swarvo, Zeiss, Bushnell, are normally fine,

Talleys. I have modified bolt handles, so I didn't have to mount the scope too high.

Bolt throw is an issue with BRNO and CZ rimfires.
The shape of the scope's eyepiece can make a lot of difference.
Leupold scopes have a cone shaped eyepiece, while Nikon's have an eyepiece that is shaped like a cylinder. Believe it or not, shape of the Leupold eyepiece helps to deal with the CZ bolt throw.
I measured the diameter of the eye piece on a couple of the scopes I use on rimfires. Leupold vx2 3-9x40 eyepiece measures about 1.56 inch. Nikon prostaff efr 3-9x40 measure about 1.74 inch.
I have the VX-2 3-9x40 on a cz. The bolt has plenty of clearance with Warne high rimfire rings. (o.525 inch )
Talley high rings are a bit higher than the Warnes ( 0.6 inch)
IMO, have the gun and scope with you when you purchase the rings.

You can also get a DIP base at 0 or 20 MOA that I run on all my cz 455's
Gives a way larger selection of rings to choose from
Cant recommend it enough

Use Talley mediums and find a scope that fits.

I have Leupold Ringmounts on my HB Varmint with a 6.5 x 20 Leupold 40mm objective, no problem with the bolt.

Leupold 1" High rings, 11mm rimfire, gloss 54234.
On 455 varmint barrel the 3x9 Nikon 22 scope clears with enough room to put the scope cap on and 1/4" or so for the bolt handle.
