Namely, the capability of a politician's security detail should be a direct consequence of the legislation their party has sponsored on it. There's an attack on the PM's motorcade? Quick, get the security detail on the phone to the CFO to secure an ATT to transport their handguns from their secure lockup at the range to the scene!
