Default Pleased with group

After 10 or so different ammunition types I finally found a brand/model that seems to work well. When the reloading starts next year, going to see if this can be tightened further....

So how many shots are on that target? It looks like one single hole, and two holes that are the result of two or more bullets.

A couple of tight groups in a row does not constitute an accurate load!

6 shots from rest and the top one is an offhand shot at about 75 walking to the target

Agreed. There were more after this and before. Similar results but was playing with the scope, doing box tests, checking drops at certain yardage. They were all fairly good.

This one was the sorta last try of the day...

Was just pleased is all

JW - The best initial strategy to improve groups is lots of practice ... of course using the ammo that is performing the best. Reloading your own will almost assuredly yield best results.

Thanks 260!

Just a note first three fired on the left. Move scope, fiddle about, reload and fire next three on the right

Man! I thought those were OK three shot groups?

They are excellent groups. Every shot touching at 140yds. Seems pretty damn good to me.

X2 - I know those buggers are expensive, but try some 5 shot groups. And get into reloading sooner than later. Fair warning, clover leaves are addictive

I'd stock up on that ammo, forget about reloading and go hunting.

That's probably what I'd do too, just because I don't reload and at this time would rather be shooting than reloading. For a hunting load that is pretty nice in my eyes. Now if you're really into super small groups well let the tinkering begin and have fun, I hear reloading can be both frustrating and addictive.

Groups like that are rare in factory ammo right off the bat. Load up on stock of that ammo and try to reproduce that load over time if you want to get into reloading.

From a rest and 3 shot groups at 140 not bad.
I would consider that a hunting load in my book.
Purchase at least 3 more boxes.

Anyone that says those are just "not bad" groups is crazy! Those are outstanding groups at 140yds with factory ammo. You are at lest 1/2 Moa there if not better. Even reloading doesn't produce that every time. I'd say stock up on that ammo and save your pennies on not buying reloading gear just yet.

Here's a video of some testing that this guy did...factory and hand loads.

It's usually work as I haven't seen a rifle yet that will shoot sub moa groups with anything you throw at it.
