Default Hunting suggestions for new hunter

Hello. I’m planing to go out for a hunt November 1. That will be my first hunt . Elk and white tail deer. I’m from Leduc. What area would you suggest me to go for a day hunt . Also I’m looking for a hunting partner, would like to go for duck and geese hunting in the area . Thank you in advance.

I'd suggest heading to the sticky at the top of this sub forum and introduce yourself. You might find someone in your area to go with.

Welcome to the forum. I wouldn't expect too many replies for a good area on a public forum but this place is a wealth of knowledge to get you finding your own spots. Pull up a chair and have a good read.

Best of luck in your adventures and post pics when you finish your hunt.

Solid advice ^^

Good luck and welcome.

Default New Hunter

Welcome. Finding a partner is the best way to go for a new hunter. A partner/ mentor would add a level of experience and safety to early hunting career. You could pick up a copy of the Alberta Discover Guide for accessible public land that you can hunt on.
