Telus
Telus email down for 3 days so far.
Surprised no thread on it yet.
Lots of bad things being said about telus on other sites.

Mine has been down for 3 days too. Might be leaving over this. Impossible to talk to a human about it.

Weird thing is that wife and I both have our own Coumputer and she is getting her emails and I am not. I can send but not receive.

Same here. No email. Been gone since Wednesday. Seems like I can send but not receive.
Saw a statement from Telus that said 90% of users could now access email. Though judging from the online comments Im not sure how accurate that statement actually is.
Sure hope there’s a hefty discount on this months bill. But not holding my breath.

I guess my question is, with Hotmail, Gmail, and Outlook, why are you guys using Telus e-mail accounts?

Email
Mine just came back on today.
I was surprised it never made the local evening news that I saw.
I noticed my TELUS HUB signal has been down to around 60 % of normal as well for a week or so.

Been with Telus for a long time, never had a single problem until this year. Have gmail but everything has been on telus emails. Five different emails through telus. Problems started this spring. I wonder if they got to big to fast?
Russians?
Chinese?
Hacked accounts?
Ransom ware?
Just to big to fast?
They sure are quiet about it. In the spring they blamed it on their servers.

Looks like I have email up and running. Not going to jump and down just yet, could still go down again. No emails past the 15th on one or past the 12th on another. Looks like there might be lost emails.
Makes you wonder what would happen to most people if the net and other communication systems went down. People have come to depend on them.

My Telus email account was locked on Thursday the 15th. I actually managed to talk to a Telus rep (in the Philippines) the next day who explained that the system was down while they “strengthened their security”. She said that I would be up and running in about four hours and that she would phone me when I am back online. Four hours went by and to my
surprise she called back. She walked me through the process of strengthening my own password, tested it, and then boom! I was back online with a bunch of new emails downloaded to my account. I was instantly impressed! But then I got to thinking – why wouldn’t they contact their customers ahead of time and tell them they were planning a shutdown
to strengthen their security. I started to wonder if they got hacked and didn’t tell anyone while they quietly repaired the damage. We will probably never know.

Our office email is a .net one and was part of the big headache. It was down for almost 3 days, my home one about 3 days. I have a friend who's home one was still out as of last night. My home one is never used so no big deal. The office one was a headache but we share a folder and my .ca email worked so we could juggle reports around and get them out. I feel bad for the business's etc that were down and out during the outage.
Good prelude to when we lose the net for a week due to a glitch in the system.

Try hard booting (turn computer off for a minute) now and clearing the cache and history first.

Saw it on the news (Global) tonight. Some Mucky Muck guy apologising to the world.
I think they should get Trudeau to apologise and throw in some of his crocodile tears.
My email came back on last night

Weird our office one came back on over the weekend, Monday it was out again, still out today. Telus left a message saying we could go to their webmail page and access the email through a link they started for outage customers. Been loading for an hour , then the power went out. Now I have to start the process over again.
Had it back on at home over the weekend, now I have to re check that too.
A friends is still out.
