Angry This is not unique to Telus

Welcome to the wonderful world of publicly traded companies and their spreadsheet jockeys: where critical spares and system maintenance no longer matter. As long as they can show that executive bonuses will be increased, their customers can absorb the losses.

Telus just gave us $10 credit and 6 free on demand movies. They stepped up. I’m good.

I was checking del on some orders I had coming, never had an issue all week.
Had issues with Microsoft at work, no issues with Telus.

Got a phone message from Telus today, saying how very sorry they are and are giving me a free month internet service. Haven't been with them for about 5 years.

Have been with tookus since it was AGT.

Got an email today saying they are giving $10.00 off? Have heard they are giving free month from some.

Are the patient customers getting shafted?

Another crap move by Tookus?

Offered 10 dollars and 6 free movies. Movie's are useless as I don't have cable or satellite. Rabbit ears work fine. Anybody have experience changing cell / internet and landline. How much of a hassle is it

My e-mail was out briefly one day, and yesterday I received an apology, a credit towards my bill, and six free pay per view movies for the inconvenience.

Exactly ! Using an email that is tied to your service provider just makes you dependent on them . I use gmail and if I switch to Bell or Shaw for my internet next week, then it causes no interruption to my email service as it is a separate entity altogether. I am currently with Telus as my internet provider but when / if they drop the ball I can switch to another provider without a second thought.
