Dont go with advanced. They do nice work but IMO it doesnt look like your fish adnd looks more cartoonish. Hands down use Top Notch taxidermy in south dakota. Guy does amazing work, the best perch I have ever seen and is the only person I have ever seen that is able to replicate a near perfect Lake Winnipeg Greenback Walleye. Pay the exchange and get it done by him, it will probably be cheaper than advanced and there isnt anyone in western canada that can touch his work. Use to be a guy out of Smithers that was close but he retired. Also, not to be confused with Topnotch taxidermy in coaldale who do good game mounts.

I have a 13-6 walleye caught in Manitoba 1987, skin mount still in very good shape. I guess it all depends on the taxidermist if you've kept the fish and killed it already you might as well use the skin.

Cartoonish? I've ordered 7 from Advanced since 2018 and of the 5 that I have taken delivery of (still waiting on 2 I ordered last february due to Covid) none look cartoonish and they all looked like the fish in my photos I sent them.
