Default Light grain in a 3006

Has anyone had good results using a light grain ie 125 grains in a 30-06? Good results being < 1 inch groups at 100 yds

Default 30-06

I have not done this with the 06 but have had excelent accuracy with 130s out of the 300wsm 1/2 to 3/4 " groups @ 3500fps I did not use them for hunting because I didnt know if they would hold up. Dont think it would be to hard to get better than 3100 with the 06. has a better frontal than a 130 270cal would probably be dynamite on deer size animals. there are some pretty well constructed bullets nowadays that should hold up. good shootin

I have tried them, and no, I could not get decent groups. Only tried a couple powders and then gave up.

I tried some of the Remington Factory Managed recoil 125 grn loads in my Remington SPS and it gave about the same level of accuracy as my Factory Hunting loads (Federal Fusion 165) grn - 1 1/4 inch three shot groups at 100m
