Default … Help please

March has been the month of repairs for me.

Tonight it is the dryer, it heats up but it doesn't vent out so the moisture just gets hot and stays with the clothes.

I thought maybe the vent froze up but no it was clear, so I took the pipes apart to see if it was clogged but no, everything is clear just no air coming out.

Does anyone know how to fix it?
I like to fix things my self BUT maybe the number of a good repair guy?

So far this month I have learned how to repair bearing hubs, radiators and thermostats, LCD screens in Cameras, and how to replace hot water tanks.
March is getting expensive.

Plug between the lint screen and the outlet pipe?

Maybe, I will see if I can stick some heavy gauge wire through and see what happens.

remove the filter and see if the dryer vent is blowing? the flap on the outdoors to where it is vented. If that doesn't change anything, unhook venting from the dryer and ensure it is blowing good, if it is, you have a clog somewhere in the line, usually where you have kinks or 45 degree elbows. might find some missing stuff in there lol

I agree on the fire hazard precaution, just hang those suckers to dry until this gets sorted. I'm going to guess that perhaps the exhaust blower motor may be burned out. There may be other obstructions as well, on my own dryer outlet there was a screen at my exhaust outlet behind the flapper that got plugged with lint. I cleaned it once, then the second time it happened I just pulled that darned screen out, it really served no purpose as the flapper would keep out bugs and birds anyways. I've also seen flappers get stuck either opened or closed by lint accumulation.

4 dollars in change, .22 casing and a whole crap load of bobby pins… and one of those white card security things that belongs to a girl who lived here 2 years ago.

Happened to me , on mine I had to take the back off the dryer and open the casing around the fan. Fan was caked with dried lint and was pack hard. Dryer over heated and popped the fuse at the rear of dryer so had no choice. You say you have heat so you caught it in time. Outlet pipe was half plugged too.

You do realize that lint is just the unedible parts of your socks the dryer didn't like the taste of

That makes good sense. But why does the dryer always like one sock of a pair, and not the other?

Cleaning the dryer vent is needed for your fire insurance. Many fires have been caused from this very thing. Have found where the lint has caught on fire in a couple different dryers. Be glad its this easy.

dryers only eat left socks. It is a fact. I read it on the internet so it must be true.
